Hi! I'm Ashley, a Singaporean tattoo artist and illustrator based in London and Cambridge. I've been tattooing for the past five years, and work predominantly with black ink. I started out by handpoking my friends while I was at university in exchange for beer or wine, and slowly it became my full-time job! I absolutely love tattooing weird lil creatures (the ones that make people go, "what is this"), anthropomorphic animals or objects and I occasionally dabble in ornamental work as well - symmetrical pieces are my favourite!

I also illustrate in my free time, in a similar quirky, whimsical, and slightly offbeat style. I often draw inspiration from the surrealist movement (as well as my own constant bewilderment at life's absurdity) and the results tend to be a bit more experimental - according to the subject matter and my mood - but themes of nostalgia and existentialism seem to be pretty constant throughout my work.

Most of my work is done digitally, but I do pick up the pen once in a while!

Tattoo of a crying heart with a human face on the inner arm.
A tattoo of a frog dressed as a wizard, wearing a pointy hat and holding a wand over a bubbling cauldron, surrounded by grass and flowers.
A tattoo of a cartoon-style dragon with flowers and numbers on person's ribs, partially covered by clothing.
